at the close I noticed a few sell bids put up to ensure the closing price was 23.5c. quite a few orders were put up even though it was clear there was no hope of them being bought at that price given the low volume on the buy side.

the moment the market closed all sell bids were withdrawn right up to 25c, and even at that price there is just one sell order for 1,000 units.

Clearly someone wants the share price to remain right where it has been for months now, in that 23-23.5c range.
