Not sure on that one.. Normal companies can do that and basically anything else that they want to do..
However, Telstra is not a normal company and is now seen by Government and the ACCC as an Ogre, not to be allowed to step outside the square in case they hurt the miltinationals by finding a way of stopping them from sponging off Telstra..
However, all this will change with the NBN as the MN can then aponge off the Taxpayers back instead..
Ah, if life was only so easy for Telstra, can you imagine what the share price would be??
