I received a very nice thank you call this mining from a friend who bought into ADN upon my recommendation last year. However, he wasn't thanking me for convincing him to buy ADN in the first place, but he was thanking me for convincing him not to sell a sizable portion of his holdings @4.5c at the start of September.

He was getting jittery at the stagnant share price and was very keen to freehold his shares. He needed to sell 400,000 shares in order to recoup his initial investment of $18,000. Fortunately he saw the light and decided to hold out, and what a great decision it was; he now only has to sell 75,000 shares in order to recoup his initial $18k and freehold his remaining shares. He will therefore manage to hold onto an additional 320,000 shares (worth $76,800) just by having waited two and half months, during which the share price rose from 4.5c to the magnificent 24c we now sit at. It has suddenly dawned on him that this stock will indeed reach the $1 dollar summit, which means his investment will in due time be $320,000 larger than it would've been had he sold a mere 10 weeks ago.

Lesson: If you believe the fundamentals, and you have faith in management to deliver on their vision, then the only way to make the really big bucks is through holding long and not allowing fear and short term manipulation to wrestle those life-changing shares from you. ADN is the golden goose you don't want to give away cheaply.
