I look at growth investments from perspective of where they could be in 3, 5 and 10 year timeframes. A helpful thought process to drive research.

Think about revenue/cashflow and how it will change over time as it is ultimately future cashflow growth that drives share price growth.

Speculation to me is all about understanding business fundamentals and business strategy and how this will drive share price appreciation.

Key skills to develop for successful growth investing - research, patience and conviction - all these are needed to successfully hold micro and small cap stocks through 30-50% swings in a share price.

My portfolio dipped almost 60% in March but is now up about 900%. Year to date up over 400%.
