Of course not advice, but just from my own experience, be very careful with an SMSF. It can work out well, but be sure you carefully assess the pro's and con's. IMO, unless there is a significant volume (>>$5M?) or a special set up (eg own your own company's office), do not under estimate the ongoing fees and compliance costs. They are substantial relative to a smaller amount in the fund.
Having said, I have done Very well having been able to buy a significant volume of ADN for my SMSF. However, I am not expecting another prospect like this to come along for a very long time.
