Nanotech graduate from more than a decade ago. Nanotubes are NOT easy to synthesis at any commercial scale (at least carbon NTs). Unless there is new R&D that has developed in the past decade, all this fancy talk of turning Kaolin to Halloysite in commercial quantities is quite difficult and won't make it into commercialisation at any meaningful level.

You can change the molecular structure of coal and get diamonds but you don't see that happening in commercial quantities. Well, ignoring the fact that diamonds AREN'T rare to begin with, just extremely controlled by a certain entity.

I honestly never thought I'd see nanotubes make it to commercialisation and applied to so many fields. All this talk of hydrogen storage, carbon capture, drug delivery was very theoretical and non-feasible when I studied/graduated and hence moved sectors.
