FA is about the company (in a spec stock... what might happen). TA is about the people who invest (what has happened). TA is an analysis of behavioural psychology... a graph of fear and greed. As humans our behavior doesn't change much so looking at the past is used as an indicator of the future.
Both are useful in performing analysis.
I like to use FA for finding stocks, TA to find an entry price.
In a stock like ADN where there are a lot of big anns being released I find TA not as accurate because the anns change the psychology of the buyers/sellers making historical data less relevant.
I have to say tho that there are some very good TA people on this thread and directional, support and resistance analysis has been bloody good!
The FA on this site is second to none as well!
Use and understand all the tools you can to select investments and GLTA.
