IMO
People don't just jump on board in a heart beat.
ADN was probably talking to JM at the time and it is possible he suggested if ADN are considering the Poochera JV and bringing him onboard that they attend the 2017 conference to understand some of the potential of HK.
Would be interested to know if ADN held any HK tenements at the time
