I have no problem with shorters, providing it is not naked short selling. These shorters need to borrow the stock so they can sell. They hope if falls and falls, so then they buy it back, give the stock back to the owner and pocket the difference.
These shorters can be left with their 'pants' down should a few announcements drop. If they short sell at 33c and then have to buy back to 50c it will hurt.
I have no problem with shorters, providing it is not naked short...
