Regarding short sales you have to remember this stock is not a BHP so access to the physical stock is very limited to enable someone to short. At the moment there is about 200k gross short sales across ASX and Chi, this is nothing relative to SOI. How and who is doing? My guess one of those larger institutional buyers we have seen recently as they are the ones usually able to lend stock, and usually to themselves. They would do this to hold the price at the margin to buy back in, good desk jockeys are great at this game at the low end of market cap market.

The so called 'shorters" can only influence if the volume is low on a day and/or they have borrowed a very large amount to short.
