Thanks for your earlier reply, especially for highlighting your industry insights re timings.
I'm between a few late sunday arvo family obligations, so forgive the rush, but I was thinking through the topic and have a couple of further observations.
The scope of the GICAN (Newcastle) research is proof of concept. Can -- and to what extent does -- Halloysite strengthen concrete? I would think any marketable 'product' to come from findings is a way off -- and by implication the pricings attached to them have yet to be determined. But thus far, findings are good, right?
Which brings us back to cost. And the fact is, $5,000/t is not not set in stone (or any other mineral!). It's just a number. What we do know is we have a lot of it and it's cheap to get out of the ground. Moreover, Halloysite CAN have a demonstrable MPA effect with only a kilo of the stuff being chucked into the mix.
The fact then remains that the $/t number can be moved until the market likes it. Indeed, I now notice that your subsequent graphic shows '$1,000-$5,000/t' for higher purity. Let's for the sake of argument go with the lower $1,000 number and our customer is already on an 80% discount to the (relatively affordable) costs I was playing with.
