A lot of energy and electrons have been wasted this weekend on a complete sideshow of an issue.

    The pertinent facts are:

The Great White project is the fist to be developed. The PFS states:

    - It is targeting the ceramics industry, a 26.5Mt pa market (2019 figures).
    - Of which 2Mt represents high end halloysite-kaolin, which Great White can supply.
    - The production target is 500kt p.a.
    - The project after tax NPV is $736m, 8% discount rate.
    These figures are summarised here.

I repeat, ceramics is the fist cab off the rank as the target industry for the Great White project. ADN are seeking to enter into a BOA with the ceramics industry, such as the one signed last week. All this talk about how on earth is ADN going to sell all this kaolin is nonsense when glance over the key figures in the PFS. It is a market that has existed for over a thousand years!

The total halloysite-kaolin market is larger than just the ceramics industry.@Pjr82 kind gave us a link to another article estimating world consumption of kaolin (only) at 38Mt.

To address some of the facts that have got swept into the nonsensical down-ramping campaign.

    - The Camel Lake "super high purity halloysite" 99.6% deposit is not yet a resource. They haven't drilled it out and defined a resources yet.
    - The ADN website states "Camel Lake contains occurrences of near pure halloysite, which is extremely rare and valuable."
    - The $5000 per tonne figure has only ever been used by the company as an example of what near 100% purity halloysite is known to have sold for. There is no resource defined so there has been no economic valuation of the resource.

This whole nonsense over halloysite in concrete is a complete distraction. It isn't part of the PFS. It's currently not part of the project. It is a project of the R&D joint venture. The R&D joint venture is looking at exploring and developing IP around lots of potential uses.

Halloysite as a concrete additive is not written into any business plan at this stage. Its commercial potential might be quite limited to highly specialised construction uses. There have been a plethora of posts here that could mislead readers into thinking that the ADN business plan is built around halloysite becoming universally adopted in concrete across the entire construction industry.

There has been lots of recent research and discussion on these boards over many months exploring the emergence of nanotube technology and potential new uses of kayolin and halloysite. The potential is exciting.

This will probably get lost here so I will post it elsewhere as well. James gave a good talk to the Australian Energy & Mining Investor Conference last week. The slide pack was released to the market. Apologies if this has already been posted:
