IMHO two things happened over the past month that played into the ~35% retrace.
1. The 17 March NR was disappointing as it muddied the waters (unnecssarily?). Some of the earlier buyers hoping to offload to index funds were unnerved and sold. This is the action in the blue box.
2. Then we had the end-of-qtr 'adjustment' (yellow oval) where it looks like stock was washed out that couldn't find a home in an index-tracking fund.
I'd say there is a good chance the SP moves higher as we get news on various fronts e.g. BOAs, HPA, concrete, polymers, nanotech etc.
