I think what GC is saying is there’s a difference between people shorting and market manipulation through shorting. There’s argument that shorting contributes to a healthy market, but unfortunately it also gives a lot of incentive to pests and institutions to drag a stock down through unethical means. Shorting property actually exposed criminal behaviour in 2008 and started the GFC.
I’m an adn fan but I’m not mad at shorters who genuinely thought the company was overvalued, it’s those that place the short and then spread misinformation and try to drag it down that are pieces of sh*t and are playing a dangerous game. Looking forward to the likely short squeeze
