Alternatively, in Australia whilst not often pursued, Corporations may sue for defamation if they can show that the published material has caused them or is likely to cause them financial loss. If the required elements exist, a corporate plaintiff may recover presumed damages. ... Corporations may also pursue special damages in a defamation cause of action.
I would have thought making it more difficult / expensive to raise capital because of deliberate misinformation would cause or likely cause financial loss.
Would love to see a company (with sufficient resources) that has suffered take them on. Might at least make them think twice.
