Forgive my ignorance on Shorting, but if/when the SP starts to rise again do the Lenders of the shares carry out something like a Margin Call to get their shares back?? This would then force shorters to purchase on market at the going SP to cover.
Given the amount of shares shorted and the amount for sale wouldn't this have the effect of driving the SP even higher??
Please correct me if I have my wires crossed on how it all works
