Yes, I read a polish paper on the Dunino deposit this morning where they were testing methods of removing the iron. It's possible at scale, but there would be decent costs I imagine.On the Wikipedia page for halloysite (which needs editing) it states that Dunino is one of the biggest halloysite deposits in the world.
By the standards of size and purity, Dunino is not in our league it appears.
Might have to change that Wikipedia.
