I was having a bit of an investing discussion with my daughter this weekend as they are starting their investment journey. I tried to explain to her the different styles of investment and how investment has changed with your new low fee share investment options.
My advice to her was this:
1. Do your own research. There is no such thing as enough research. Keep reading everything you possibly can on the company you want to invest in.
2. Do not get dragged in by the multiple fluctuation in SP based on no relevant information or fake information as disseminated here recently. Base your trades on your OWN decisions.
3. Patience is your friend. The patient investor will have the best outcomes most of the time.
4. Do not expect to double your money overnight!! This seems to be the newest norm. My share has not made a 1000% in a week. Damn, I have to sell???
Inevitably we discussed ADN and I mentioned to her that it is not often that you can find a share that has, immaculate leadership, a just about guaranteed path to mining early next year, the best quality and quantity product of its kind internationally and on top of that, all the various Blue sky opportunities that are being pursued through NN and in conjunction with reputable university research groups.
Needless to say, she bought her first shares in ADN today. I really hope she follows my advice and end up being in the same boat as the many multibag faithful here.
