    Thats not how shorting works.
    Borrowing millions of shares requires margin. Its a lot harder to borrow $1m of shares than $1m of cash!
    You can dump and buy back, but that would have a net neutral effect on price. Same as buying then dumping

    The big shorter has put up millions of $ in collateral to short the shares.
