Can someone answer this please

@Triff69 posts the "Yesterdays Daily Shorted" every day and chart from Shortman as well which is 4 days old. All interesting info if it made sense to people but to me it doesn't compute.

Every day for the last 2 weeks there have been shorted shares. Today, the post from Triff showed 1M were shorted yesterday (Ha Ha ). There have been shorts every day, which give me the impression that out Shorted Shares should be increasing. However the shares on Shortman (some days delayed) fell today to 23.785M where 2 days earlier it was in the 24M.

If a shorter is legally obliged to report shorting, are they also legally obliged to report covering? I did post a brief question some days ago, but no answer.

Currently there have been postive shorts every day for weeks, yet, shortman shows a decline today. Does anyone have an answer?
