Patent approval can take long time (over 2 years) but in this case it's the lodgment date that is important. Other patent applications for the same idea/concept lodged will be rejected after ADN application is approved. I would expect that ADN application has been well written and due to scarcity of material used it's highly unlikely that it would not be approved.
