It's not too late to buy MEP and convert. I bought some on Wednesday. I called the Andromeda Takeover Offer Information Line yesterday to find out when I can convert. They informed me that each Wednesday they get an extract of the trade data from the previous week and upload it into the system they use for managing acceptances. Which is available for me to convert the next day. (Thursday) So if you purchase today, you would be able to convert next Thursday.

I imagine if you leave it until next week to buy then things may get more complicated.
