The use of kaolin as a pozzolan in cement and cement-based products is far from new and is already well established in a commercial setting globally. This has already been extensively canvassed in this forum (apologies for not directing you to the precise location of the posts).

For example, BASF - a behemoth organization in the chemicals space - offers MetaMax pozzolanic cement additive:

In my view the fact of others using or exploring the use of kaolin as a pozzolan in cement will not in and of itself be likely to render ADN’s patent redundant on the assumption the terms of that patent outlines a novel “invention”.

However, as alluded to by others above, the ultimate validity will be in commercial uptake of ADN’s product in due course; and for now it would appear based on the company’s commentary that there is a reasonable prospect of that occurring.
