Looking forward to news on the large scale demonstration Carbon Capture plant. The CC plant is scheduled to arrive in the country this coming weekend (8 May), delivered to University of Newcastle Global Innovative Centre for Advanced Nanomaterials (GIGAN), assembled and with testing to commence thereafter. James Marsh previously stated they are currently in talks with external corporate-level players that have considerable interest in this patented technology. Andromeda/GIGAN aim to demonstrate direct air capture or flue gas capture achievable at or below A$20/t CO2.
High purity halloysite feed for the plant will be sourced from the GW deposit. Currently, commercial qualities of high purity halloysite sell for approx $5000/t and lucky for Andromeda it isn't available anywhere else in commercial qualities. Huge opportunity here for Andromeda to not only capitalise on the potential licensing of their Carbon Capture technology but also selling alongside it the High Purity Halloysite feed.
