The issue with the rates is the uncertainty of how much will the hike be and when. Look at yesterday, market was not expecting a 0.5% increase, it was expected either 0.25% or 0.4% but the RBA goes and drops a bombshell of 0.5% which no one expected! RBA needs to provide more clear predictions of their intentions instead of spooking the markets with unexpected over increases like we had yesterday!
