Hi Chris,
On the day of the DFS ann (1st April?) therewere about 75m shares traded on the Chi exchange. While some of these tradeswould have been bought to cover shorts most were not. The Chi is where thecrooks operate I believe. To see 20m shorts covered on the 14th July when there were less than 3m traded on the market (ASX & Chi) suggests that the shorters used some of the longs accumulated on 1st April to cover off market.
