Have you not traded U.S shares before ? If you look at some stocks they trade pre and aftermarket. Some stocks have wild swings i.e -5% / +5% based on just a few thousand volumes. When the market opens it opens at that price, but then during market it has millions of volume. Same case for ASX shares, who in their right mind would sell 1 share and push the price down by 1 pip or 1 cent lol.
