All sands are quartz grains. These grains can vary in size and in roundness but sand equals grains of quartz (with some impurities).
ADN's h-k has the sand component (coarse unrounded quartz grains derived from the granite) washed and screened out.
The h-k is therefore pure.
So...once again...sand equals quartz grains (they're all silica oxide)...secondly...the sand/quartz is removed from the h-k in any case.
