I'll give you some advice: don't put too much money into speculative stocks you're not entirely sure of. The less you know, the less you put in. That way, at most it'll be a fart, instead of a train ramming into you. With that in mind, the next time you see someone get really emotional over an investment, then you'll know what happened, they gambled a little too much.

Once, or if, the speculative stocks come into their own and their future becomes more and more clear, then you can start adding meaningfully. Until then, just size your position accordingly and you'll be fine.
