Outside China the mortality rate for Covid-19 is 1.4% (health.gov.au). Mortality rate, rather than infection rate, is the key indicator. Infection in resistant hosts creates antibodies so viruses play a fundamental role in human evolution. You're more likely to be killed by heart disease/cancer/alzheimer's/stroke/diabetes. If you do happen to catch the virus, unless you're over 80, or in poor health with pre-existing conditions, recovery is extremely likely.
