I am surprised no one has spoken of what is happening on the Eyre Peninsula. It is obvious none of the posters live in the region.

I won't say a lot as I have followed ADN and SUV for quite some time. I also have an interest in the graphite mine. I live in the area and have done so for many years now.

Logistically the local council is focused on building their new hub. That means spending priority. Green waste is no longer free to residents and to top it all off, residents in the area go out of their way to vent their anger towards tourists and demand it remains a sleepy town.

The local environmental group is extremely active and their target now is the launch site in Whalers Bay. This project alone will require many semi-trailers over a long period of time with major road upgrades and facilities.

For the sake of Streaky Bay and surrounds we desperately need the kaolin mine to go ahead. It may require that they are self-sufficient as resources will chase the dollar elsewhere for now.
