The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a future-focused Process Specialist to be part of the team that will bring Kaolin from its raw sate to a form that can be used for production purposes. This key role will be responsible for the implementation of process plant activities associated with the commencement of operations at the Great White Project. This permanent position will initially be based at our head office in Adelaide with frequent site- based travel. Eventually, this position will form part of the site-based team in line with commencement of operations.

About the role

• Technical guidance into the metallurgical design of the processing plant during project commissioning and ramp up
• Provide accurate cost estimates and budgets
• Design and conduct specialist test work and assist to define product specifications
• Evaluate new and different technologies with a focus of improving the process capability and reducing costs.
• Development of laboratory and operational procedures and processes.
• Supervise and provide leadership to a small team

About you

• You will be degree qualified in Mineral Processing, Metallurgy or Chemical & or Petroleum Engineering
• You will have worked a minimum of 5 years as a Process Engineer/Metallurgist with exposure to flowsheet development and operation including flotation, magnetic separation, hydro cyclones, centrifuge, thickening, filter press, ultra fine grinding.
• Over-riding commitment to health, safety, environment and community with strong supervisory skills of pilot plant activities.
• Exposure to plant design and commissioning with multiple and varying product streams.
• Previous experience in Kaolin or other white minerals will be viewed favourably, but not essential.
• Ability to define, lead and document ore characterisation and metallurgical laboratory test work programs.
• The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
• Will be able to work autonomously and in a team.
• You will be highly motivated, engaging and an outcome orientated individual who enjoys developing new business and building relationships.
• You will have strong problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to form productive working relationships across all areas of our business.
