Sure can. From personal experience I could have demerged 20 years earlier from my hag ex wife but there were complex and cafeful considerations to work though. Took way longer than I hoped. So Sir, if you cant see that life can throw anomalies at us all, despite best efforts and planning, perhaps you may want to rethink things especially in relation to running a business.
