There is evidence of control as far as buying in. Assuming if the shorts were larger volumes and the push down of price would be working harder in their favour, that the shorts are for price control purposes.
I'd suspect that there are some more serious investors that want to get in at their desire price and are not budging.
Not a bad thing, but just thwarts the price from going up in the short term.
