I would think that it’s extremely likely. Apart from anything else, getting insurance for an installation requires showing the insurer that it has been done safely and with all required permits and documentation. Getting certifications from a recognised and reputable organisation, like UL, goes a very long way toward that end.
It’s possible that there are other details that need to be finalised, but third party safety certification is definitely a major one.
