The religions you know of are religions of faith. That is, they require faith as the chief means. It is an integral part of that way.
That's just how it is so no point in objecting to the standard reply because that is what it's about.
If that kind of faith is not possible for you then obviously religion is not suitable for you.
Religious people often mistakenly believe that their way is the one and only and anybody can have faith.
Doesn't help that the Abrahamic religions insist on evangelizing and converting all without any intelligent evaluation.
