Just pointing out the error in your thinking. Gold is one thing that always benefits from a financial crisis, its usually seen as a safe haven. It cannot it be the cause and the beneficiary at exactly the same time, as its impossible for it to collapse and boom at the same time!
If Bitcoin were to collapse, gold and gold stocks would get a huge boost.
