Our pollies end up on the boards of these companies or industry groups post politics as the backhander for turning a blind eye to selling off the farm. It leaves existing bigger Aus gold producers like NST in a precarious position. They have to decide to grow otherwise be taken out and we all know acquisitions can be challenging for these businesses. The Tier 2 assets get pushed at them as a way of weakening them and pressuring their balance sheets. Aud gold on a tear and solid producers like NST stuck in a weak trading range currently.
