Yes, I do think that gold will rise in this deflationary market. Because this time it is different (compared to the GFC). This time the money is being handed out much more to everyday people and this will cause inflation in prices of goods. Whereas, during the GFC the money was handed out to the elite and which resulted in inflation of asset prices.
I think we are headed for a stagnant economy with inflation = stagflation. Gold should do well in this environment.
