I've never put a user on ignore and don't plan on ever doing so. I feel is is a slippery slope, you start with those who are simply missing a brain but it quickly evolves to ignoring anyone with different opinions. I'd rather avoid unintentionally creating an echo chamber, so I stay well away from that ignore button
