Why do you refer to a downside risk ... are you expecting more short selling volume ?
On what basis ?

You refer to "something else" ... what exactly ?

Duringthe escalation of prices in a short squeeze there is also downside risk
even given artificial panic induced buying in the covering phase.
Timings up and down can be hard to predict.

Measuring panic is a tricky exercise, even with unusual upside potential before a fall.
The key is knowing when covering is active and approaching its conclusion.
Or when shorters might regain some fire power at any stage.

This is where the ASX should invest in honest real time data.
With transparency of buyer and seller identities.
