Save <$1k on fuel over two years, but cop a $20k depreciation bill.
Let's be generous here, as the above example did more than the average of 12,100km per year.
Let's say they saved $2k in fuel.
$18k worse off making themselves feel good about saving the planet.... meanwhile China won't reach peak emissions for another 6 years.
And after ~10 years most of these now-useless EV becomes toxic landfill.
So far, the EV scam is working and reaching the intended audience.
