A fantastic tennis player who is homophobic and out of step with the vast majority of people. She is entitled to her position but why should her view carry any weight? In simple terms it should not. Marriage has nothing to do with Religion. No one is asking the Church to marry anyone. What people are arguing is that the Government should not be able to discriminate as to who you are able to marry.

Pretty simple really and something that some of the most religious countries in the world have come to grips with - ie USA,Ireland and Mexico.
