That a local outfit is a partner is both insurance and lubricant. In certain countries a local partner is a very big plus, or essential. But note that CGG has other very promising exploration territory with great drill results which it holds alone.
Other plusses are dirt cheap diesel/power, very low interest finance available locally and output already sold.
