Govts and their central banks have created this mess by trying to save us from their last mess(the Clinton induced GFC) by holding interest rates at near zero and printing endless amounts of currency. On top of that they've taken the oil/coal/gas from the market and thrown it onto the inflation bonfire which leaves them with 3 options ;
1. Raise rates/remove liquidity to cripple energy demand i.e create the worst recession any of us have ever seen
2. Let inflation run which will probably be worse for the average person than a major economic depression
3. Change policy direction and get carbon based energy flowing again. This won't be a fast process but it's the ONLY way out of this mess without death and misery across the globe
