I wonder is there will be an increased work for the dole scheme in order to get the over 50's somehow involved ? It would be a waste to not be able to utilise them in some way.

I imagine there is also some pretty significant social issues with that as well.

And just what do you have in mind for the over 50s to earn their $50 a day? An 8 hour day pulls up at about $6 an hour. Not very much would be the answer surely.
