To me it’s not about timing or marketing. I’m just trying to reign in some people’s expectations, by pointing out that purchasing for government stockpiles, and guidelines for usage in hospital, would only ever be evidence-based, and the evidence would need to be from clinical trials. No medical panel would advise the use of a preventative spray like Viraleze just based on in vitro data, no matter how good it is. So unless Starpharma goes down the route of finding a partner to do clinical trials (which I think they should), it will be a MUCH smaller target market, which won’t realise the full potential of this product.
