With the Creationist and ‘Intelligent Design’ design notions stubbornly alive and kicking in spite of the overwhelming scientific evidence to the contrary it’s hard slog to convince the religious believers of anything threatening their so dearly cherished and nurtured believes, which are giving them so much comfort like a childhood teddy and soother they’ll never outgrow.
Missing links are being discovered all the time, amphibian types linking marine and terrestrial creatures are just one of the latest.
One thing that is overlooked in the whole debate is the interaction of RNA and DNA. To understand this symbiotic relationship one has to first appreciate that ‘reality’ is not what we ordinarily perceive in a dualistic/materialistic framework. A mind based reality is the basis to explain the whole array of Quantum/Reality puzzles, the dichotomy of Mind/Matter is but an illusion to ordinary perception, while Mind as source/reality fits as resolution to every such perceived puzzle.
That’s where RNA as the interlocutor comes in. Mind, being the ground of reality, takes its cues from environmental conditions and a Higher Awareness (accessible through mind training) and employs RNA as messenger to DNA, which takes these cues and incorporates them into ‘evolution’.
This is a kind of “Intelligent Design” but not the God variety, there is no need, nor is there any evidence of any God, but a neat self-contained /governing/regulating/creating universal framework based on Mind.
It may look like there is some kind of magical hand at play, ‘intelligent design’ or an all powerful omnipotent ‘god’ at work, but that’s outside the realms of science and lacks any basis of proof or coherence.
There is plenty of scientific work available exploring these relationships and anyone really interested and able to overcome religious hang-ups should pursue this avenue.
Unfortunately even established science still clings to its dogma of the ‘scientism religion’, the dualistic view, but it is gaining wider acceptance on grounds of very compelling logic and proof.
