It's the navigational route along the footpaths of the shopping strip where I get into deep trouble ...."jeep" trouble, I mean. This is because there are puppy water dishes, latte sippers beneath large umbrellas, tables and chairs every which way, large advertising boards, just inside the gutter along which large cars park perilously close to the avocado munchers, and not only does one have to circumnavigate the obstacles placed here and there, but fellow jeepers, wheelchair riders, scooting scotters, and dogs everywhere, stopping, starting and getting close to tripping up people as they criss-cross the pathway. The Council has given away pedestrian rights for a few to the local shops for their encroachment on our space! This means that as I walk with a pull-style trolley rather than electing a push-style trolley, then the trajectory of my trolley behind me is probably taking some unusual twists and turns. I figured that it means anywhere getting too close behind me, needs to accept the responsibility of avoiding my trolley left, right, hard right, turn about kinda pattern of walking.
The other day, there was a guy walking too closely behind me and got angry. I don't like "jeep rage" any better than road rage so immediately apologised.
However, I actually didn't feel sorry for him at all. He needed to take his own responsibility for avoid the obstacles! After all, that was all I was doing. Not my fault what was happening to my trolley behind me. I don't have eyes in both the front and back of my head now, do I????????????
