People bring/loading their own bags, is TOO slow.
I go shopping at least 3 times a week, and the length of queues has increased,
the time it takes to "serve" each customer, has increased, since doing away with "free bags".
One of the immediate biggest problems I see, there isn't sufficient room
for the packing of the wide and varied array of bags people are bringing in.
Checkouts were designed for the operator to load stuff into a bag,
and the customer to put the full bag into their trolley.
Thinking about it, I can now recall those that came in with their own bags,
months ago, would always slow down the checkout process.
The 12/15 items or less checkouts, were never big on 'room', but worse now,
as there is nowhere to put the bags as they load them.
